Grave Safety

Need to enter a grave? Do it safely, and make sure you have someone with you at all times. You should also have a way of retrieving someone from the grave if they need help getting out. Under OH&S requirements, anyone who could be overcome by fumes or gases while below ground or in a confined space must have a means of retrieval on site.
EAW (Engineered Aluminium Works) now supplies the Abtech Safety rescue tripod, complete with a combined fall arrest/winch unit and harness. This equipment is required for exhumations and lift-and-deepen work.

TORQ 15m Fall Arrest Recovery Device

The TORQ 15m Fall Arrest Recovery Device is designed to protect against falls from height. Anchored above the user, it provides a safe working area. The retracting line pays in and out of the device as the user moves. In the event of a fall, a brake engages, arresting the fall of the user with a controlled deceleration force. The device has an integral winch mechanism, so in the event of a fall the attendant at the top can raise or lower the user to a safe area. It has a swivel anchor eye on top and can be mounted on davit arms for entry to and exit from a confined space.

Safety CST1KIT Confined Space Tripod

This Confined Space Tripod Kit comprises the following:

T3 Tripod

The tripod is the basis of a confined space entry and rescue system giving a strong, stable and portable anchorage point for fall arrest and recovery systems. One worker can carry and erect the sturdy but lightweight aluminium alloy tripod.

For stability, the tripod legs can be adjusted individually. The T3 has six anchor points tested to EN 795. The three overhead pulleys hold up to 11mm rope. The extra anchor points can be used with pulleys for a double-roped rescuer, back-up system, airlines, communication lines, medical kits, tools and so on.
